A very good Tuesday night! The Bless had three bands Costanza, Chris Martin and You Slut! According to everyone they were all very excellent as usual. Then to a very busy Screamadelica, got a top ten this week and the pics are here.

A rammed STD Disco yesterday, poor Stuart wasnt even allowed to stop playing and I think I even saw crowd surfing!

Nice mention of Screamadelica and Sick to Death Disco in the NME this week, even this little website got itself in the article.

Lost Alone 'The Shoot'

Lost Alone shot their video for Unleash the Sands of All Time at First Floor yesterday. We also had a performance from the band and The Strand Arcade. Sian and I played a few tunes and drank alot. Im not so well this morning....

Lost Alone Video Shoot

Coming up on Wednesday at First Floor with a performance from Lost Alone and The Strand Arcade. We will be doing a spot of DJing throughout the night aswell.

We can now confirm that our second single will be 'Unleash the Sands of All Time. It'll be released late July and will be on two formats: CD single and 7" vinyl, each will have exclusive b-sides.

The video for the single will be shot in Derby over two days. Day two will be a performance shoot so WE NEED YOU TO COME ALONG!!!!

May 24th - First Floor is where the rock action will be taking place. The first part of the night will be the band set up amongst the crowd playing, then we'll play a set for you as a thank you for coming along. It all kicks off from 7pm and it's FREE to anyone 14+ years old.

Also this Monday Mates of State are coming to First Floor, Derby. Massive band, Derby hasnt seen a gig like this for a long time. Due to this even the NME Tour bands are coming along including We are Scientists, iForwardRussia!, Boy Kill Boy and the rest.

Drinking and Straightening

Just had this message from our Caroline. Think again before drinking and straightening your hair at Sick to Death on Fridays.

jesus, i think you should put this on the website as a warning to others of the dangers of drinking and hair straightening

rosies gonna be remembering friday night for some time to come...

Although it's surely an unusual part of the body to burn with straighteners? I could understand fingers and ears but not this. Some serious straightening must have been going on, maybe The Swarm were involved...

Mascot Fight on Radio 1

Another Derby band on Radio 1. Good work fella's...does this mean a Mascot Fight reunion?

'Thinking in French' has been a recent favourite at Screamadelica and finally receiving some well deserved airplay.

Our song ‘Thinking in French’ is going to be played on Huw Stephen’s Radio One show, sometime between 11pm-1am on Tuesday 23rd (That’s next week, folks). Apparantly we also have to speak, too! So, have a listen to it, and you’ll also be able to download it from the Radio One site too.

This Weeks DJs MarnyKino and StuartKino

A very busy Screamadelica this week. Couple of things coming up, Lost Alone's next music video being shot on the 24th May at First Floor with a performance from the band and we will be on DJ duties throughout the night. For details about coming along please go here

Also from now on Sick to Death Disco will be open until 3am every Friday at Red, Friargate. Lovely!

Sick to Death Disco 05/05/06

This weeks DJs Sian and MarnyKino

Second week in, should have that later licence very soon and the other room will be open in a couple of weeks. More details about the second room on the way with some news about the DJs and what you can expect to hear.

Thanks to The Strand Arcade for being the first of many bands performing at Sick to Death Disco. FoNo are looking at doing this once a month having the bands late on into the night.
